1 person arrested after festival security officer assaulted
Griffith AU April 2 2018 A man has been arrested after allegedly attacking a security guard at the Vintage Festival on Saturday.
It is alleged a 27-year-old man became angry when a 43-year-old security guard would not let him back in to the Miranda Winery venue on Jondaryan Avenue, after he had been evicted.
The 27-year-old pushed the guard in the chest and it is alleged the man has given a flurry of punches to his head and he ended up on ground, following which the attacker kicked the guard in the head and face.
Police were called and located the attacker on Jondaryan Avenue and he was arrested and taken to Griffith Police Station. The security guard did not require any medical attention after the incident.
