11-Year Old Fort Worth Boy Dies After Being Impaled By Iron Fence

An 11-year-old died in a tragic accident after being impaled on an iron fence as he fled a security guard.
Police say the victim and several other juveniles had climbed a fence to enter a locked pool area of the Ladera Palms apartments in south Fort Worth.
When a security guard spotted them, he told them to leave the pool area and the children ran back to the fence and was trying to climb back over the fence and exit the area.
It’s believed that the victim possibly lost his footing, causing the accident.
He was pronounced dead at Cook Children’s last night at 8:05PM
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
