Violent assault on security officer
Sydney AU March 12 2019
A disturbing video shows a group’s sickening attack on a security guard and violent brawl on the street in Sydney’s inner west, apparently after a group got kicked out for being too drunk.
The attack hospitalized the guard at Camperdown’s Alfred Hotel on Wednesday.
The patrons, believed to be tourists, had been drinking and getting “rowdy” at the pub and were asked to leave, co-owner of the Alfred told 2BG.
They refused to leave the front of the venue – and in the disturbing footage can be seen attacking the two bouncers, kicking and punching as the guards try to keep them from the doors of the venue. Screams can be heard. A bouncer can be seen using a bar stool to defend himself.
The guests, believed to be tourists, were kicked out for being too intoxicated.
Mr Smith has defended the actions of his staff, saying they didn’t deserve to be attacked multiple times by the patrons.
A security guard referred to as Tony has to be hospitalized due to facial injuries.
Police made four arrests early yesterday morning.
