17-year-old shot at security guard; in custody after SWAT standoff
CLEVELAND OH April 7 2019 — A 17-year-old was arrested Friday afternoon after allegedly shooting at a security guard in Cleveland and then barricading himself in a house near Slavic Village.
The alleged shooting happened in the 3800 block of East 71st Street. Following the shooting, police say the teen fled on foot.
The security guard wasn’t injured in the shooting.
Police tracked the teen down at a house in the 7200 block of Indian Avenue in Cleveland’s South Broadway Neighborhood near Slavic Village.
SWAT responded and the teen was taken into custody a short time later.
Authorities haven’t released any additional information.
