Portland OR November 15 2018
Two men were arrested Sunday after threatening security staffers at a Southeast Portland bar, police say.
Portland police said 34-year-old Elijah L. Warren and 33-year-old Marcus A. Bell were jailed in Portland and have since been released. The incident unfolded about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Century bar on Sandy Boulevard.
Police said one of the men was told to leave the bar and that both of them reportedly yelled threats at its security staff after leaving the establishment. One of them threatened security with a gun, police said, and officers were called to the area.
They found a man matching one of the suspect descriptions, arrested him and found a revolver in his pocket, according to police. Another man tried to interfere with their investigation, police said, and he was also arrested.
Police said officers found another gun in the suspects’ pickup truck, which was illegally parked nearby. The truck was towed from the scene.
Warren is facing a felony unlawful use of a weapon charge and a pair of misdemeanors, according to court records. Bell is accused of three misdemeanors, including interfering with a police officer, records show.
Both are set to be arraigned Tuesday.
