2 Manassas, Va. high school students charged for exchanging firearm at school
MANASSAS, Va. October 30 2022Â Â Two 14-year-old students at Unity Reed High School in Manassas were charged on Friday after exchanging a gun on school grounds, Prince William County police (PWCPD) said.
The school’s security officer was notified of the incident and was able to identify both students, PWCPD confirmed. The gun was then allegedly recovered by the security officer.The handgun was never discharged or pointed at any other students and was never an active threat to the school, PWCPD said.
Both of the students were charged with Possession of a Firearm and are being held at a juvenile detention center, authorities confirmed.
