2 SECURITY EMPLOYEES KILLED ON DUTY

We have received two reports of security personnel being killed while on duty.
The latest report received today states that a Detroit security officer was killed early this morning in an assault.
We are working with authorities to determine more details and to identify the security officer.
Also reported to our office, a security employee working for Vector Security in Montgomery County PA was stabbed and ran over with a car several times while she was on a break.
33-year-old Angela Maya Stith, was brutally attacked and murdered by her ex-boyfriend Friday morning.
The incident occurred around 2:15 am while Stith was on break during an overnight shift.
Police and numerous other agencies responded to the calls about the attack.
The suspect was later arrested by a Pennsylvania State Trooper after he was spotted going west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Allegheny Tunnel, about 210 miles west of the scene.
The suspect, Lawrence Crawley, set himself on fire after being pulled over by a Pennsylvania State trooper several hours later on the other side of the state. Crawley, 33, was hospitalized in critical condition.
Note: At this time 85 security personnel have died on the job so far, this year. Most deaths have been due to gunfire, blunt force trauma, vehicular assaults and stabbings.
