2 Security Guards Hurt In Early Morning Shooting Near 16th Street Mall
DENVER CO October 16, 2019 Two Denver security officers were shot near the 16th Street Mall police reported today.
Police said that what started as a fight ended up with a shooting.
The fight and shooting happened early Monday morning near 14th and Arapahoe.
The security officers involved were not part of a city or mall assignment but rather, they were working at a nearby club and they tried to break up a fight and that’s when two people started shooting.
The security officers who were shot were struck, one in the arm and the other in the foot.
They were transported to an area trauma center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Denver police say they have two suspects, both males but did not say if they were in custody yet.
