2 suspects charged with armed robbery, assaulting guard at Giant Grocery store
COLUMBIA, MD Jan 30 2021 A Columbia man and woman were charged with robbing a Giant supermarket and assaulting a security guard at knifepoint Saturday afternoon, reports Howard County police.
It happened at Giant on Cradlerock Way at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 23.
A security guard said he confronted two suspects with stolen items.
The female suspect assaulted the guard and displayed a knife, according to police.
She then fled with a male suspect.
No injuries were reported.
Nicole Renee McConnell, 34, of Hickory Log Circle in Columbia, and Michael Roary, 36, of Overheart Lane in Columbia, have been charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault, and theft.
