3 Florida TSA officers accused of stealing from passengers during screenings
Miami Florida July 8th, 2023 Law enforcement agents in conjunction with Homeland Security have arrested three TSA agents based in Florida.
The three TSA officers have been accused of stealing from passengers during screenings at Miami International Airport.
Authorities received several complaints about theft and began an investigation.
Officials said the three TSA employees have been identified as Josue Gonzalez, 20, Elizabeth Fuster, 22, and Labarrius Williams, 33.
Investigators conducting surveillance caught the employees on video stealing from the passengers.
The video reportedly showed the three officers distracting passengers during screenings and taking their money. In one case, they allegedly stole $600 from someone’s wallet.
All three were arrested Thursday at the airport and charged with an organized scheme to defraud, and may face more charges.
