3 Women Wanted for Pepper Spraying Store Security During Multiple Robberies

Police are looking for at least three young women who stormed into downtown retail stores and used pepper spray on guards while stealing clothing, Chicago police said.
The latest incident occurred about 6 p.m. Friday at Zara, 700 N. Michigan Ave., when three thieves used pepper spray on at least one security guard and ran out the door with clothes, police said.
The male security guard was recovering after being taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Two additional robberies, which happened Thursday, were detailed in a community alert issued by police.
About 7:15 p.m. in the 1100 block of South Delano Court, three thieves walked into a store and shoved items that were on sale into bags and then left without paying, police said.
When they were confronted by store security guards at the exit they discharged pepper spray at the staffers.
Around 3 p.m. in the 800 block of North Michigan Avenue, the same group struck again, police said.
Police released the following description of the three African-American women:
One was between the ages of 16 and 20 was wearing a mustard-colored jacket, her hair in dreadlocks, was about 5-foot-6 and weighed between 130-145 pounds;
a woman between the ages of 20 and 30 with her black hair in a ponytail, wearing a gray hat, a gray sweater and maroon-colored pants;
and another woman was between the ages of 20 and 30 and wore a gray headband, a gray sweater and black pants.
No arrests have been made, and anyone with information is urged to contact Area Central detectives, 312-747-8384.
