6 Arrested At Anthony’s Restaurant For Disturbances With Security
JOLIET, IL November 24 2018– A half dozen people got arrested by Joliet Police officers early Thanksgiving morning for causing commotion, fighting, resisting arrest and refusing to leave the premises at the Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub near the Louis Joliet Mall, police said. The biggest troublemaker of the bunch was 24-year-old Minooka resident Jony Perez, according to Joliet Police reports.
Perez was delivered to the Will County Jail where he was spending his Thanksgiving holiday in the slammer. Perez was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer.
Problems began at Anthony’s around 1:30 a.m. Thursday when Joliet Police officers saw Anthony’s security removing Jony Perez for causing problems, police reports show. Then, 26-year-old Milton Perez of Minooka got involved because he did not want Jony Perez tossed out of Anthony’s pub, police reports indicate.
Milton Perez, Joliet Police said, grabbed and pulled on the Anthony’s security personnel in the presence of the Joliet Police officers now on the scene.
“Officers pulled (Milton) Perez from interfering with security and (Milton) Perez started to struggle with the officers. Officers told (Milton) Perez he was under arrest and to stop resisting, but (he) refused. (Milton) Perez was eventually placed into custody.”
Milton Perez was charged with battery and resisting a police officer.
As Milton Perez was sitting in the back seat of the Joliet Police squad, prior to going on his trip to the station, 23-year-old Channahon resident Alex VanMeter approached the squad car, according to police.
Joliet Police officers warned the young man from Channahon to back away, authorities said.
“Van Meter refused to comply with the officers orders. Officers went to take Van Meter into custody, and (Jony) Perez forcibly pulled the officer away as he was trying to handcuff Van Meter. After a short struggle, officers were able to place Van Meter and (Jony) Perez into custody,” Joliet Police reports show.
Van Meter was taken into custody and charged with criminal trespass to land. He was later released from custody on a $1,500 I-Bond. Jony Perez went for a ride to Will County’s Jail.
But the job of the overnight Joliet Police force was only halfway finished at Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub.
More problems would occur 30 minutes later. That time, three women from Plainfield were the cause of the disturbance, police reports show.
At 2 a.m. Jennifer Larucci, 25, of Plainfield, began “arguing with a staff member. The staff member “told Larucci to leave, police said. A short time later, Larucci and … (Nicole) Knights and (Ashlee) Pendola … were told to leave the establishment because they were closing. All three still refused. Security staff once again told them to leave, but they refused. Officers then told all three if they did not leave the property completely, they would be arrested for trespassing,” police reports show.
The three 25-year-old women grew defiant and according to police, told the officers “they couldn’t arrest them. Officers told them to leave one more time, or they would be arrested. All three still refused. All three were arrested for the above offense.”
Jennifer Larucci, whose mugshot is at the top of this article, was booked at the Joliet Police Station for criminal trespass to property.
Nicole Knights was booked at the Joliet Police Station for criminal trespass to property.
Ashlee Pendola was booked at the Joliet Police Station for criminal trespass to property.
All three Plainfield 25-year-olds were later released from detention on $1,500 I-Bonds.
