A 7-year old girl was fatally shot and two other children were injured in a drive-by shooting at a high school football game in Pennsylvania on Friday night, according to local reports.
Gunfire erupted around 9 p.m., right after the game between Academy Park and Pennsbury High School in Delaware County ended, the reports said. Fans — between 100 and 200 of them —fled the bleachers in all directions.

Deann Bankston told the outlet that she was right next to the young girl, who was shot in the neck.
“When she got shot she went down, grabbed my leg as she was going down,” Bankston said. “I kneeled down but then her mom kneeled down next to her, and then I had to get up and go look for my children.”
The child died at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, the report said. No other information was available about the other victims early Saturday.

Pennsbury Football Coach Greg Lichtenstein told CBS3 that he heard gunshots while the teams were shaking hands as a car drove down the street.
The Pennsbury School District sent a letter to families on Friday night confirming that no players, parents, or coaching staff were hurt in the incident and offering mental help to any who need it.
“This was a traumatic event for those involved and our counselors are available to provide assistance to our players,” Superintendent Thomas Smith wrote.
