9 Security Officers Shot-3 Others Killed

Police in nine states are investigating the shootings of fourteen security officers and the murders of three others.
Police in two Tennessee cities are investigating the shootings of an unarmed security officer who was shot during a robbery at a Rite-Aid store in Nashville near the Vanderbilt University campus.
The unarmed security officer was shot in the chest and was left in critical condition during the early morning hours of Monday September 9 2017.
On the west side of the state in Memphis, a security officer was shot at the Hillcrest Apartments on Eastwind Drive.
Officers said the security officer was sitting in a car when the gunman walked up to the vehicle, opened the door, and shot him three times.
Officers said the security guard fired back, but it’s unclear if the first shooter was hit.
The victim is in critical condition.
In neighboring states to the north and south of Tennessee, police in Kentucky and Alabama are looking for the shooters who fired at security officers outside of two different nightclubs. Police said that both security officers were shot in unrelated incidents and appear to have non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile security officers in Nevada, North Carolina and Michigan lost their lives this week.
One security officer was shot to death during the mass shootings in Las Vegas and a North Carolina security officer died while struggling with a man trying to enter a building.
A Michigan security officer was also found stabbed to death in Detroit.
A Houston Texas security officer on duty at a McDonald’s restaurant also shot and killed a man that he witnessed shooting another person. Now police say that they have referred the case to the district attorney to see if possible charges are warranted.
