Security guard accidentally shoots co-worker at Albuquerque International Sunport airport
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. Aug 24 2018–
An Albuquerque security guard has been shot, and another security guard is under investigation.
Police believe that two security guards on duty at the Albuquerque International Sunport when
a security guard, accidentally shot his co-worker while he was showing off his new gun .
According to a police report, the bullet hit the victim in the leg.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m., near the rental car area, while the two security officers were on patrol.
Both men work for International Protective Service (IPS), which began offering services at the Sunport in 2018.
IPS said the victim should be fine. However, both men are on leave.
