Man accused of intentionally driving over Largo crossing guard’s foot
LARGO, Fla. Sept 3 2018– A man is facing charges after being accused of intentionally driving over a Largo police crossing guard’s foot Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened after John Kavanaugh made an illegal U-turn at East Bay Drive and Seminole Boulevard.
According to an arrest report, the crossing guard attempted to tell Kavanaugh he couldn’t make the U-turn and the two got into a verbal altercation before Kavanaugh ran over the victim’s foot.
Kavanaugh is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
