Springfield Massachusetts crossing guard struck, killed by vehicle
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Sept 3 2018 Police in Springfield Massachusetts are investigating after they say a school crossing guard was struck and killed by a vehicle.
The Springfield police say that the woman was struck at about 3 p.m. Thursday.
She was taken to Baystate Medical Center in Springfield with serious injuries and police said Friday she had died.
Police investigators are working on statements, checking on witnesses and conducting a fatal accident investigation.
They say that the driver stayed at the scene.
No names were immediately released and the crash remains under investigation.
