Fla security officer thwarts car theft
BOYNTON BEACH FL June 9 2017
Police say that an alert security officer at a train station in the 2800 block of High Ridge Road noticed a man getting into a vehicle in the parking lot.
As the officer approached, the man got out of the vehicle and into a white van, then drove off. The officer checked the vehicle the man had entered and found it had been ransacked and that it was running and was in “drive.”
Police were notified and upon arriving at the scene, found the key fob on the floor and secured the vehicle until the owner could be notified.
Police say that the security officer prevented the auto theft. The man has not been located.
