ANN ARBOR, MI Oct 15 2018
Security staffers and law enforcement officers stayed busy during the University of Michigan football team’s win over Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 13, police said.
Police said that there were 76 ejections at Michigan Stadium during the game and that several arrests were made.
One person was arrested for assault and battery and ejected, said Deputy Chief Melissa Overton of the University of Michigan Police Department.
There were also 10 ejections for alcohol violations in the stadium.
There were 16 ejections for disorderly conduct, and two arrests, Overton said. There were three people ejected for a fraudulent ID and one for a fraudulent ticket. One minor in possession citation was issued, which led to an ejection, Overton said.
Five were ejected for passing their ID and 33 people were tossed for possessing another’s ID, Overton said. One person was ejected for no ID with a student ticket.
Four people were kicked out for unauthorized entry, while one person was ejected for urinating in public, Overton said.
Huron Valley Ambulance-Emergent Health treated 71 people, with 17 being treated for alcohol-related reasons, Overton said. There were 12 people taken to the hospital.
Although it was overall a busy day for officers, no one was seriously injured and there was no other reports of problems.
