Man uses backhoe to damage security booth at golf club
PALM DESERT, Calif. October 19 2018 A disturbance at the Stone Eagle Golf Club on Highway 74 in Palm Desert turned violent when a man entered a backhoe and began to drive it reckless and in a threatening manner.
The incident happened at around 8 a.m. according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
When deputies arrived, they confronted the man who by then had demolished a security booth but deputies did not report why.
Deputies detained the suspect who was then transported to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.
There was no report of any injuries.
