NJ school security guard charged with sexual assault
PERTH AMBOY NJ November 11 2018– A former security guard at McGinnis Middle School was arrested Thursday on charges of sexual assault and endangerment of minors, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Perth Amboy Police Chief Roman McKeon said in a news release.
Elios Arias-Aguilar, 25, was charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, one count of second-degree sexual assault, one count of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact and two counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to the release.
An investigation determined Arias-Aguilar allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse at his city home with a minor who was known to him, the release said. The investigation further revealed Arias-Aguilar allegedly sent nude photographs through social media to two minors, who were known to him, it said.
Arias-Aguilar was employed as a security guard at McGinnis Middle School for about two years, according to the release.
He is being held at the Middlesex County Adult Corrections Center pending a detention hearing.
