Couple Facing Charges After Incident At St. John’s Pharmacy

A man and a woman are facing several charges after an incident at a pharmacy in the west end of St. John’s Yesterday.
Police were called to the pharmacy around 6:30 a.m. Friday morning. A 35 year old man and a 30 year old woman were arrested a short time later after a brief foot chase.
Allegedly, the couple stole items from the pharmacy before the man assaulted a security guard.
The woman was charged with theft and breach of court orders while the man was charged with assault causing bodily harm, theft and public mischief.
The couple was brought to St. John’s Provincial Court to answer the charges.
