Nashville security officer detains burglary suspect
NASHVILLE, Tenn. November 16 2018 A man claiming to be part of a medical center cleaning crew was arrested after being caught breaking into the medical facility, according to Metro police.
This happened early Thursday morning at Faith Family Medical Center on 21st Avenue North.
According to an arrest affidavit, Don Foster, Jr., was caught looking through a filing cabinet by a security guard. By the time Metro police arrived, they say that guard had Foster detained.
Officers reported that Foster said he was part of the cleaning crew but could not say where the cleaning supplies were located.
An employee was called and came to the clinic while officers were still there. According to police, she said she did not recognize Foster and he did not work for the clinic or the cleaning company.
The employee said the cabinet Foster is accused of looking through is where the business checks are kept.
The facility later contacted News 2 to state no checks were in the file cabinet. We asked how the man got inside the clinic, but a spokesperson said they could not comment on the investigation.
Foster is charged with burglary. Police said he intended to steal something but was caught before he was able to.
