Memphis library security helps police arrest man for showing porn to children
MEMPHIS, Tenn. November 21 2018
Police say that a library security officer helped them to arrest a man who was showing porn to several children on a library computer.
Police were called by the security officer after Ceequaon Slaughter was seen by the security officer sitting between three minors, showing them a porn video on a computer. The security officer says she told Slaughter to stop playing the video several times and asked him to leave, and he refused.
When police arrived, they say they told Slaughter to exit the library, and he again refused. When the officer tried to physically escort him out, investigators say Slaughter dropped to the floor, locked his hands together, and laid on top of them to keep from being moved. Investigators say the officer struck Slaughter several times with a baton to his legs and he continued to resist. More officers showed up and were able to take him into custody.
Slaughter is charged with sale, loan, or exhibition of materials to minors and resisting official detention.
Slaughter was taken to Regional One to be checked out before being booked.
