Knox County ORC officers release stats for first week
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. November 25 2018 The Knox County Sheriff’s Office’s Organized Retail Crime Task Force is always actively investigating, conducting surveillance and working with retail security agents to curb retail theft in Knox County.
But during the holiday when thefts really spike, the (ORCHTF) officers are working even harder to curb these thefts especially those committed by professional, organized retail theft teams.
The sheriff’s department just released its results, so far, since its kickoff their increased efforts on Wednesday.
From the first day of its operation, the ORCHTF made 16 arrests and recovered approximately $8,500 worth of property.
The task force was back on the ground for Black Friday and KCSO says it will be out in force throughout the holiday shopping season.
