Shots Fired During Armored Truck Robbery
Houston TX December 12 2018Two men armed with rifles fired shots at armored truck security officers in Houston Texas during a robbery at a local bank.The gunshots rang out just after 11 a.m. Monday at the Chase Bank on Scarsdale at Beamer.The FBI said two armed robbers began shooting at one of the security officers, who was working to fill an ATM.Investigators said when the courier took cover, the two men stole money and then fled the scene in a black SUV.The FBI believes a third person was driving the getaway vehicle.Crews were called to remove the ATM involved after it was tampered with, according to the Harris County Pct. 2 Constable’s Office.Deputy constables are looking at surveillance video from the ATM and nearby businesses in hopes of getting a better look at the suspects.
Louisville KYPolice are still investigating the theft of money from an armored truck and the disappearance of one of its security officers.A GaraWorld armored truck was making a delivery at the Jefferson Mall, when a security guard and some cash disappeared and Mark Espinoza hasn’t been seen since.One of the security guards went inside a business at the mall and when the co-worker came back around 3:15 p.m., Espinosa and some amount of money were gone. Espinosa, 29, stands 5’10” and weighs 225 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. When last seen, Espinosa was wearing a blue work uniform.The driver of the armored car called Louisville Metro police Wednesday afternoon to report that Espinosa was nowhere to be found, and some of the cash from the armored car was missing.The vehicle was parked next to Jefferson Mall near Round 1, the new recreation and entertainment center.Police would only say Thursday that the amount of missing money was undetermined.
Store employees around the mall did not report anything suspicious and police have combed through nearby surveillance footage but haven’t said if it revealed any new leads.
