Security guard killed in bike accident

For the last two consecutive days, fatal motorbike crashes were recorded locally.
The first involved 27-year-old Leighton Ferguson of New Forrest district in Manchester, who died from a crash on the Junction main road in St Elizabeth on Saturday, December 22.
Reports are that about 1:30 p.m., Ferguson was driving a Suzuki motorcycle in a northerly direction along the roadway when the bike collided with a Toyota Levin motorcar.
Both drivers sustained injuries. Ferguson was taken to the hospital, where he died while being treated.
The female driver of the motorcar also sought medical attention.
She was warned for prosecution, pending the outcome of investigations.
On Sunday a 59-year-old security guard was killed in another motorcycle crash, this time along Seaview Drive in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew.
He has been identified as Anthony Brown, a resident of ‘Wicky Wacky’ on Jupiter Close in St Andrew.
Reports from the police are that about 5:20 p.m., Brown was driving a motorcycle along Seaview Drive when he lost control of the unit and it crashed into the back of a parked truck.
Brown sustained head and body injuries and was transported to hospital, where he died while being treated.
Investigations continue into the incident.
