MGM Springfield questioned about response to medical emergency
SPRINGFIELD, MA January 8 2019
MGM Springfield casino security officer responded to a medical emergency t the casino and assisted the victim until other emergency responders arrived on scene.
A guest suddenly fell to the fall and passed out according to an eyewitness.
Several guests said that security was trying o assist the man but he looked as though he had already passed away.
The man reportedly has passed away on the way to the hospital.
Witnesses are questioning the response from the casino management after several people tried rendering aid but were turned away including a doctor.
When the State Police arrived, they immediately jumped into action began lifesaving measures.
In a statement to Western Mass News, MGM spokesperson Saverio Mancini stated:
“Our deepest condolences to the family of the individual who suffered a medical incident at MGM Springfield last night. We commend the officers and first responders who worked quickly to respond before transporting the guests to the hospital by ambulance.”
