San Antonio security officer fatally shoots man who fired a gun at him
SAN ANTONIO TX January 21 2019 — A security officer is alive after fatally shooting a man that had fired several rounds at him.
Police said that early Sunday morning officers responded to the shooting outside a dance studio in the 4100 block of Naco Drive.
Arriving officers were told by a security officer that a man brought a gun to a party at the dance studio and was asked to leave.
He did leave the party but then got into several fights outside, police said.
He started firing at the security officer, who pulled out his weapon and fatally wounded him.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has not been identified by police.
Police are still investigating the shooting.
NOTE: This is the 25th Fatal Shooting By Private Security in 2019.
