Security help nab men reckless shooting guns
St Cloud MN Feb 5 2019 Alert security guards at Electrolux led St. Cloud police to two men who had been firing a gun near some railroad tracks.
According to a press release from the St. Cloud Police Department, they were called by security at Electrolux about a man with a gun going into the SuperAmerica across the street from the plant abut 2 p.m. on Friday.
When police arrived, they say the men saw them and tried to hide a gun under a car at the Electrolux employee parking lot.
A .9 millimeter handgun was recovered from the scene and two men, 20 year old Derrick Wilkerson and 23 year old Jorge Fernandez were arrested.
Investigators say the two admitted to firing the gun along railroad tracks near Premiere Self Storage off 37th Avenue North.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
The pair are now awaiting gun charges.
