McMath Middle School security guard arrested for stealing cash from teacher

A security guard at McMath Middle School was cited for allegedly stealing an undisclosed amount of cash from a teacher’s desk Monday night, according to a Denton police report.
Police said a school resource officer looked into the teacher’s claim that money was taken and found video footage showing the security guard was to blame, police reported.
The security guard admitted to taking the cash, police said. The money was given back to the teacher, police said. The security guard was given a citation for theft under $100.
