Stolen Security Officer’s Gun Used in Robbery and Murder

Five security officers were disarmed this week while on duty including a security officer in El Paso Texas whose gun was used in a robbery homicide.
The security officer had his weapon taken by force the night before at the Sun Metro Transfer Center located at 1165 Sunmont.
Sharod Chavez Moore, 24,then killed Arbin Iglesias, 25, during a robbery at an East El Paso 7-Eleven using the security officer’s firearm.
Moore shot himself following a pursuit by State Troopers near Junction, Texas.
Earlier in the week, a security officer in Jacksonville Florida and Detroit Michigan reported having their firearms taken at an apartment and at a fast food restaurant.
Police in Waco Texas said that Tony Davis Bridgewater, 34, of Waco tried to take the firearm of a security officer at the Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center on Thursday morning.
Bridgewater walked up to a security and began talking to him and then tried to snatch is gun out of the holster. He was subdued and arrested by police.
