Security Guard at Sunshine Flea Market Fatally Shoots Man
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. March 4 2019
An armed security officer on duty at the Sunshine Flea Market in suburban West Palm Beach shot and killed a man Saturday night.
Investigators say there was a confrontation between a man and a security officer at the flea market and witnesses say it quickly turned physical.
Police and fire medics were called after the security guard shot the suspect in the torso.
Authorities did not release how many times the man was shot or if he was armed.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 8:02 p.m.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators were on scene gathering information.
The identities of the deceased and the security guard have not been released.
