Man accused of spitting at hospital security officer after vehicle accident

A man accused of scratching and spitting at a security officer after he was brought to a hospital after a traffic crash was charged with assault, according to Toledo Municipal Court records.
Victor R. Burroughs, 32, of the 2000 block of Arlington Avenue was arrested Thursday and charged with assaulting a hospital employee.
Mr. Burroughs was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, the former Medical College of Ohio Hospital, after a crash and was combative with Toledo fire personnel and medical staff, authorities said.
He is accused of twice spitting in the face of Officer Brian Hill, with hospital security and scratching the officer’s forearm, causing a cut.
