Joliet Job Corps security guard made sexual proposition, exposed himself to teen
Joliet IL April 10 2019
A Joliet Job Corps security guard was arrested for making a sexual proposition to a trainee while exposing himself, police said.
About 11 p.m. Friday, police officers responded to Joliet Job Corps at 1101 Mills Road after receiving a report of an employee who exposed himself to trainees, Joliet police Sgt. Christopher Botzum said in an email.
Joliet Job Corps is an employment training center for low-income youth on the site of the former Joliet Township East High School.
Police officers determined that Antonio Hopkins, 28, of Dolton, worked as a security guard for Joliet Job Corps, Botzum said.
Officers also learned that Hopkins allegedly had a trainee come into the security office with him, he said.
Once the trainee was inside the office with Hopkins, he propositioned her while he was exposing his genitalia, Botzum said. Hopkins asked her if she wanted to have sex with him for money, he said.
The trainee declined Hopkins’ offer and she left the office, Botzum said.
At 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Hopkins was arrested on charges of public indecency, battery and disorderly conduct, according to the Joliet police arrest log.
After Hopkins was arrested by the police officers, he was released on his own recognizance.
