Teen trespasses at concert, bites security officer
VARYSBURG NY July 9 2017 — A 17-year-old’s attempt to crash the popular Jam in the Valley concert wound up in a trip to jail Thursday evening.
The teenage female, who was not identified, entered the property unlawfully, said Wyoming County Sheriff Gregory Rudolph. She then allegedly bit a Southern Tier Security officer trying to apprehend her.
The teen was charged with third-degree assault. She was committed to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $150 bail.
Southern Tier Security is strictly enforcing rules which prohibit non-permitted or “non-wristbanded” people from entering or remaining on the Jam in the Valley property, deputies said.
