Virginia State Police Trooper arrested on child pornography charge
SALEM, Va April 10 2019 A Virginia State Police Trooper has been arrested on one felony count of possession of child pornography.
35-year-old Justin B. Hipps, of Covington, was arrested on Friday, April 5.
Hipps was hired by the Department in February 2007.
He was a trooper assigned to Area 38 in the Salem Division.
He has been released from service with the Department.
He’s being held in the Alleghany County Jail.
