Peninsula police arrested alleged perfume purloiner
SAN BRUNO CA April 11 2019— A 21-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested in San Bruno on Monday after officers allegedly found him in possession of more than $1,200 worth of stolen Victoria’s Secret merchandise.
A San Bruno police officer contacted the suspect, identified as Dajon Marshall, about 8:10 p.m. as he sat in a car parked at the JCPenney on the 1100 block of El Camino Real, according to Officer Julian Garcia.
Garcia said Marshall had a warrant for his arrest and a search of his car turned up stolen Victoria’s Secret merchandise, which included more than 50 bottles of unopened perfume.
Following his arrest, Marshall allegedly forcefully kicked the door of a patrol vehicle with both of his legs. The door hit an officer and caused him to lose his balance. A handcuffed Marshall then exited the patrol vehicle and tried to escape, according to Garcia.
Officers contained Marshall, and after a brief struggle they took him into custody again.
Garcia said Marshall was booked into San Mateo County jail for the warrant and on charges of possession of stolen property, battery on a peace officer, escape by force and resisting arrest.
