Motorcycle group member arrested for assaulting hotel security guard
WILLISTON, N.D. April 14 2019– Williston police say a man wanted on a warrant for assaulting a hotel security guard has been arrested.
Law enforcement say 52-year-old Michael McCreary was arrested Friday afternoon after being charged with aggravated assault.
Police say on the evening of April 6, a motorcycle club was having a party at a Williston hotel when a security guard intervened in a fight between two members of the group.
Court documents show the security guard was pushed, surrounded by a group of men and told to stay out.
That’s when police say McCreary used a foot-long metal flashlight to hit the security guard in the head, causing a large bleeding wound to the security guard’s forehead.
Officers say McCreary ran from the scene.
McCreary is in the Williams County jail, his bond has not yet been set.
