Bad River Casino security supervisor passes away suddenly

Robert “Fish” David Houle Jr., 63, of Ashland, passed away on April 13, 2019 in Ashland. He was born March 9, 1956, in Ashland, the son of Robert D. Houle Sr. and Leona (Marksman) Houle.
Robert married Debra Padjen on August 22, 1975 in Ashland. On September 1, 1991, he started working for the Bad River Casino as lead security officer. In 1999, he was an employee of the year and was currently in his 28th year of employment at the Bad River Casino. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Odanah.
Robert enjoyed classic antique cars, woodworking, crafting and building car models. He also enjoyed spending with his family, and his dog and best friend, Peanut.
Robert is survived by his wife, Debra, Ashland; daughters, Jennifer (Brandon Yule) Vogel, Osseo and Amy (Carl Baron) Houle, Ashland; grandchildren, Katelyn, Courtney, and Ethan; siblings, Donna Salawater, Odanah, Michael Houle, Odanah, Thomas Houle, Odanah, and George Houle, Odanah; numerous special nieces and nephews, and his dog, Peanut.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Julie Houle; brothers, Peter, Lawrence, and Ronald Houle.
Traditional services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Bad River Community Center in Odanah, WI at 11:00 AM with Michael John Reszler officiating. Visitation will start after 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Bad River Community Center.
