Man, Woman Arrested For Impersonating Officers In Roswell Georgia
ROSWELL, GA May 15 2019 — A man and woman from Jonesboro were arrested May 5 for multiple charges, including impersonating officers, the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office records say.
Samantha Ferbee was arrested for impersonating a public officer. Gary Gaston was arrested for also impersonating a public officer, and additionally for illegal to equip/use siren, illegal use of lights/siren, use of blue lights during the commission of a felony and personal use of a prohibited law enforcement vehicle with markings.
The two allegedly drove into a Mansell Road Del Taco parking lot on May 5 in a car that was marked with a K9 emblem and emergency 911 emblems among others, Channel 2 Action News and the AJC reported.
Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland told Channel 2 that actual officers saw the car and became suspicious.
Media outlets have reported that Ferbee and Gaston were allegedly wearing clothes that looked like police uniforms. They reportedly said they were from a bail bondsman, but did not have paperwork, Holland said.
A search of their car revealed fake guns, handcuffs, vest and other fake police accessories, she told the AJC. They were arrested and booked by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
