Man who was kicked out of San Antonio strip club nearly ran over security guard with car
San Antonio TX May 26 2019 A San Antonio man who police say was kicked out of a strip club was arrested after he allegedly crashed his vehicle into another car and nearly ran over a security guard, according to arrest records.
Jonathan Poland, 34, was arrested Thursday, nearly a month after the alleged incident occurred, jail records showed. He is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a security officer.
On April 28, police records state, Poland was kicked out of Sugar’s for causing a disturbance inside the club causing a disturbance inside the club.
The security guard told police he tried hailing a ride for Poland, who appeared to be intoxicated.
But Poland didn’t cooperate with the security guard and jumped in his car, according to police records. Poland allegedly hit another car while he was backing out before accelerating toward the security guard, who had to jump out of the way to avoid getting hit, the arrest affidavit states.
Poland was not at the scene when police arrived.
His bail was set at $40,000, jail records showed.
