SURVEY RESULTS
We have concluded a two-week survey of Security Officer wages and benefits.
The survey was conducted on social media, as well as via a written survey to over 1000 security officers and within our membership ranks.
The results are as follows:
Current Pay Averages:
Unarmed Security Officer $11.47
Armed Security Officer $13.63
Loss Prevention Agent $14.11
Benefits- 31.4 percent reported some benefits including medical insurance, paid time off or paid vacation and several other miscellaneous benefits including training reimbursement and applicant referral fees.
Respondents also recommend these hourly pay rates and benefits:

Unarmed Security Officer: $15.00
Armed Security Officer: $18.90
Loss Prevention: $18.40
Benefits: Overwhelming the majority of respondents requests employers pay at least 75% of medical and life insurance.
Other benefits that were suggested include paid time off, paid sick days, paid vacation and paid training.
