Queens high school student charged in sexual attack at school
Queens NY July 22 2017 A student at a Queens high school was arrested for sexually assaulting a classmate in the building’s basement, law enforcement sources told The Post on Wednesday.
The suspect, identified by sources as Oliver Shatelaine, 18, allegedly took the 16-year-old girl to the basement of the Humanities and Arts Magnet High School in Cambria Heights on Tuesday morning and started to perform oral sex on her, sources said.
Shatelaine then allegedly tried to rape the victim, according to sources.
The victim notified school safety officers about the horrifying incident and Shatelaine turned himself in to detectives later that day at the 105th Precinct station house.
Shatelaine, a Queens resident, was charged with rape, sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a minor, sources said.
