Security officer bitten on groin during campground assault
Battle Creek MI July 22 2017 Three Battle Creek women — ages 32, 34, and 36 — were arrested on charges of assault and battery after Battle Creek police were called to a fight at the Hideaway Hills campground at 21901 Collier Road in Bedford Township at 1:53 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said a woman, 52, went to a nearby campsite to ask the three women to be quiet and stop using profanity because children were present.
The three women, who had been drinking, began to argue and then pushed the older woman.
That woman’s boyfriend and daughter then went to her defense and also began to argue with the three women. The daughter was punched in the face and one of the women attempted to bite her.
Two women also attempted to assault the older woman’s boyfriend and then all went to the ground.
A security officer and camp official arrived and the security guard was assaulted by the three women.
He had a cut on his face and was bitten in the groin.
One of the suspects had a cut above her right eyebrow she sustained while biting the security guard.
An 11-year-old girl also attempted to stop the fight and was kicked in the stomach.
Others sustained scratches and bruises.
All three women were arrested on assault charges and could face additional charges.
