Man kicked out of Nampa bar accused of driving over security guard’s foot
CALDWELL ID Aug 9 2019 — A 23-year-old Caldwell man is accused of punching a Nampa bar’s security guard and running over the guard’s foot after getting kicked out of a bar Sunday.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Kyle Jimenez was kicked out of a Nampa bar by a security guard shortly after 12 a.m. Sunday. The affidavit states that Jimenez then went to his car and began revving the engine and saying something about running people over. The security guard went over to Jimenez’s car to tell him to stop when Jimenez allegedly punched him in the face.
Jimenez is accused of then putting the car in reverse and running over the security guard’s foot. The affidavit states he sped off into another parking lot across the street, where police later found him.
Jimenez failed the field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking about six Bud Light beers, according to the affidavit. His blood alcohol content level registered at 0.175, twice Idaho’s legal limit of 0.08.
The security guard’s foot needed staples, the affidavit states.
Jimenez was arrested and charged with felony aggravated driving under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident. He also was charged with misdemeanor battery.
He is currently in the Canyon County jail on a $250,000 bond. His next court appearance is set for Aug. 15.
