Brinks armored truck crashes, rollover in MA
PAXTON MA Aug 22 2019 – An armored truck was damaged when it rolled over Tuesday morning in front of the driveway at the National Grid substation at 10 Rockland St.
The truck, an International armored car owned by Loomis Armored US, sustained front-end and side damage after it ran off the side of Rockland Street about 10 a.m.
The vehicle ran off the southbound side of the road.
It hit soft dirt and rolled over onto the passenger side.
Neither the driver nor passenger was injured.
The road was shut down for several hours by Paxton police.
It was reopened after the Loomis truck was righted by Ted’s Towing of Southboro.
Another armored vehicle was sent to transfer the vehicle’s cargo, but the back doors were jammed. Instead the truck was towed back to its base with the contents still in it.
The accident is under investigation by the Massachusetts State Police truck team.
