Female security guard pulled over by fake cops and robbed at gunpoint
MEMPHIS, Tenn. Aug 3 2017– The real police are investigating after three fake cops pulled a woman over and robbed her at gunpoint.
The victim said she was driving south on Elvis Presley coming from Union Ave.
She said she was pulled over by a blue cargo van with police lights in the front window, followed by a newer model black charger that also had police lights in the front window.
The victim said two suspects approached her and one grabbed her by her left shirt sleeve.
The victim said she grabbed for her gun that was sitting in her console and the second suspect grabbed it from her and took her wallet, which contained her driver’s license, gun permit, security guard license, and cash.
She said the first suspect told the other to take her vehicle. Another suspect told them not to take it, because it had a chip in it. Both suspect vehicles left going south on Elvis Presley.
The cargo van did not have a tag number. The charger had a drive out tag.
The suspects were dressed in black baseball caps with Police in white letters, black t-shirts with Police in white letters, and black cargo pants. The first and second suspects had full gun belts and unknown badges.
A nearby business told officers they may have surveillance video of the incident.
