San Antonio Security Guard Injured in Shootout by Man Asked to Leave Bar
SAN ANTONIO TX Aug 26 2019 A security officer is hospitalized in serious condition after he was shot outside a bar early Saturday morning by a man that allegedly had too much to drink.
The manager of the Sancho’s Hideway bar on Walzem Road asked the man to leave at about 1:15 a.m. because he was harassing other patrons.
Police said the man started a fight with the security guard after he was escorted out of the bar. The two men pulled guns and started firing at each other in the parking lot, police said.
One of the shots struck the security guard on the hip, while the suspect fled the area.
Police said the security officer was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in serious condition.
Investigators are looking for the suspect involved in the shooting.
