3 employees accused of stealing from another Alexandria Mall store

Three women were arrested Tuesday at the Alexandria Mall, accused of stealing clothes from one store while they were working at another store.
The incident was reported around 2 p.m. by an asset protection manager at J.C. Penney, according to the Alexandria Police Department. The manager “saw three women stealing clothes, then running out of the store,” according to the department.
The manager contacted police and followed the three women to Conn’s Home Plus. He found out they worked at the store, according to information from the department.
When officers arrived, he pointed the women out. They were taken into custody, arrested and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
According to the department, the items taken were valued at $753.
Each woman — Narissa Nichole Francis, 22, of the 200 block of Cook Street in Alexandria; Emily Renee Johnson, 21, of the 300 block of E. Commercial Street in Bunkie; and Alexis Chantel Wright, 20, of the 600 block of Riverbend Drive in Alexandria — was booked on one misdemeanor theft charge.
Bonds were set at $500, and all three women were released from jail within hours Tuesday.
